Work experience is an opportunity which is available to a number of first year, finalist and postgraduate students. It is generally a short term post which exposes students to the role and a flavour for the accounting industry. This is a valuable addition to your CV.
Despite the fantastic opportunities offered by the Big 4 in terms of graduate training schemes, a large number of graduates apply directly to the large number of SME’s competing for new talent. Many of these smaller firms have the ability to train graduates within the working environment, and offer significant advancement opportunities.
